FLAC is a type of audio file that compresses without losing quality, allowing you to fully restore the original sound of the file. However, the file size will be larger as a result. Unfortunately, iTunes does not support this feature by default, so you will need to use an application like Fluke to enable it. Fluke installs three tools - XiphQT, FLACImporter, and Set OggS - to add FLAC capability to iTunes. To add a FLAC file to your iTunes library, simply select the file and drag it onto the program's icon.
